This year Rock Hall Pirates & Wenches Weekend will experience its first true Pirate Wedding! Meet the happy couple: Michael Couey ("One-Eyed Mike") and Angela Darnell ("Nipperkin")
, from Riverdale, MD. They first met over five years ago when they were both staff at the pirate-themed restaurant Piratz Tavern in Silver Spring, MD and have been together for the past two years. One-Eyed Mike has been coming to Rock Hall as a performer with the crowd-pleasing Pirates for Sail every year since the inaugural P&W Weekend in 2008. The wedding will be open to the public
and held at the Gazebo on Main Street at 3:30 pm on Saturday, August 9
. Their friend Capt. Fletcher T. Moon, from another musical group, Pyrates Royale, will serve as officiant. Come and wish them a happy future together!
